The General Administration of Market Supervision has deployed to further strengthen the safety of elevators and other special equipment. In order to strengthen the investigation and management of hidden dangers and effectively curb the occurrence of accidents of special equipment, the General Administration of Market Supervision recently issued a notice on further strengthening the safety work of elevators and other special equipment. The notice puts forward three requirements for the safety supervision of special equipment such as elevators, large-scale amusement facilities, passenger ropeways, non-highway sightseeing cars, and so on. First, to ensure the safe and reliable operation of elevators, it is required to strengthen the trial operation inspection, regular inspection, maintenance, inspection and inspection of escalators and automatic sidewalks, and earnestly implement safety management and technical guarantee measures; add pedal protection function to the old automatic sidewalk to improve the level of safety technology and prevention. Second, continue to carry out the investigation and rectification of hidden dangers of high-risk large-scale amusement facilities, requiring strict safety supervision from all aspects of production, use and inspection, improve the quality and safety level of equipment, and ensure the safe use of equipment.
